Tuition Services

The council is committed to ensuring that all looked after children receive access to personal tuition when it is required, and is seeking a service provider to provide English, Maths or science for young people that have been referred by the Lambeth Virtual School. These children can sometimes reside within or outside Lambeth and Neighbouring Boroughs

The aim of the service is to provide personal tutoring services to children in care to Lambeth at times when they may be between schools or prior to exams when some revision may be needed. This will need to be supplied in the foster carer’s home, or in a local amenity such as a library, or at the child’s school, after school hours. The supplier will appoint tutors who will develop an educational plan for children between the ages of 5-16 years helping them to achieve their highest educational standard. It is estimated the contract will commence April 2016, for a term of 2 plus 1 years. The total estimated contract value is £95k.
