Planned and response maintenance, specialist electrical works to predominately Council Housing

Inspect, supply, install, and maintain in occupied/unoccupied properties and communal areas: lateral mains and intake cupboards; electrical dwelling rewire programme, landlord services, hardwired alarms, estate lighting, emergency lighting and fire alarms, remedy loss of supply; Defective Premises Act (DPA) electrical inspections. Electric Heating Breakdowns (both repairs and maintaining storage heaters as well as the switching on and off of existing underfloor heating) Electrical reactive repairs to dwellings.

Additional information: The London Borough of Hackney (the Authority) is the contracting authority for this procurement. It is the landlord of approximately 31500 dwellings located within the Borough, comprising 22700 of tenanted stock and 7,400 leasehold units. The works will be predominantly to housing blocks and to other assets held in the Housing Revenue Account (HRA), but may include works to non- HRA assets.

The contract will involve the supply, installation and maintenance, to occupied / unoccupied properties and communal areas; Lateral Mains and Intake Upgrades, Landlord Services, Hardwired Alarms, Estate Lighting,

Emergency Lighting, and Fire Alarms, Fire alarm installation, Block fire alarms, General electrical repairs, Electrical Heating Breakdowns (both repairs and maintaining storage heaters as well as the switching on or off of existing Underfloor Heating), Electrical Reactive Repairs to dwellings and the delivery of an Electrical Rewiring programme to dwellings, Loss of electrical supply, The repair and rectification of the electrical aspects of void properties.

In addition, the Council may, at its own discretion, decide to appoint a Reserve Bidder (who will be the tenderer submitting the second most economically advantageous bid) for a period not to exceed one year from the award of contract, in the event of the appointed first ranked tenderer being unable to fulfill the contract (for whatever reason) within the first year.
