description
Derby City Council intends to appoint a Service Provider for the provision of specialist interior design, manufacture/supply and installation of soft furnishings, furniture, etc, in respect of the communal areas of Parkland View, an extra care development that is currently under construction for the Council. The company chosen to work with the Council will be required to design the internal colour schemes, furniture, soft furnishings, internal non-statutory signage and decorative accessories in a style that reflects current best practice to achieve an overall environment that is sympathetic to the needs of older people and those with dementia and similar age-related conditions. A two stage procurement process is being used. Stage one of this process comprises a pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ), designed to identify and shortlist suitable potential suppliers. Stage two will be the formal tender process involving those organisations identified and selected from stage one. The shortlist will be likely to include four to six organisations (providing that there is sufficient number of suitable applicants for this number to be selected). The right is reserved to invite more or fewer organisations. The Invitation to Tender document, including the full specification, is available at this stage for information only. The only submission required from interested parties for Stage one is the completed PQQ. The contract is intended to start 3rd August 2015 and expire April 2016. The successful tenderer will be expected to work with the Council and main contractor to agree a detailed timetable for the work. Suppliers wishing to express interest and obtain the documentation must do so by 3pm on Tuesday 16th June 2015. The deadline for returns is 2pm, Thursday 18th June 2015.
