Contract for Footpath Improvement works throughout Selby District

Selby District Council (SDC) is currently undertaking a programme of improvements to its public footpaths and would like to give you the opportunity to tender for the works. The Council will be undertaking a planned inspection regime that, subject to defects requiring intervention and remedial works, officers will issue work to the successful contractor using this priced tender. Whilst this is anticipated there will be a level of work similar to the quantities used in the pricing document (basket of jobs), there is no guarantee the actual work will be at this level, however it is possible subject to funding availability work volumes may be greater.

Indicatively 4,000 metres of footpath and 1,500 metres of pin kerb which require installation or replacement.

The works will typically involve the removal of existing concrete paving and/or worn tarmacadam, the creation or improvement of existing sub-bases, installation or renewal of pre cast concrete pin kerbs and laying new wearing courses.

In order to engage with this process could you complete the attached supplier questionnaire form and also complete the table shown on the Form of Tender (located at the end of this document) with costs.

The Contract Period will be 2 years plus up to another 2 years
