description

UCL is issuing a Request for Information (RFI) to obtain details regarding a Secure Data Repository system.

The Secure Data Repository known as UCL Data Safe Haven (DSH) Data Safe Haven service provides a technical solution for storing, handling and analysing identifiable data.

The Data Safe Haven (DSH) project is part of a wider piece of work that is being undertaken across Research IT Services to ensure that UCL researchers benefit from a comprehensive, joined-up service environment to support the handling and management of research data assets and research analysis activities.

We are looking for a supplier to assist in delivering the following objectives of the DSH project, and to identify a systems integrator that has specific capabilities in:

1.Security and design consultancy: Selection of supplier that will have the security and design expertise to produce a Low-level design for use case 1.
2.System integrator services: Selection of supplier that will have the capabilities to build, test and commission the new refreshed service based on the agreed Low-level design.
3.Migration services: Selection of supplier that will have the capabilities to undertake the workload migration from the existing infrastructure and service to the new infrastructure and service.
4.Service design and knowledge transfer: Selection of supplier that will roll-out of communication, user training, service model and governance support arrangements that will be handed over to the support teams.

Full requirements can be found in the RFI document.

Additional information: Please note that UCL will be closed over the Christmas period from 14:00 21st December 2018 to 09:00 2nd January 2019 and will therefore not be picking up queries over this time period.

The process will be managed via our In-tend system. If you are interested in participating in this RFI you will need to register your company on In-tend and then express an interest in the opportunity. RFI documentation will then be released to you.

If your company has already registered on the system, but you need alternative/additional staff added to your registration for this opportunity, please do let me know so that we update the system. If you do not have the correct staff registered for your company you may miss key email alerts sent out during the process.
