Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust - Langley Green Seclusion and De-escalation Project

THE WORKS

• Description: The works will comprise: -
• oConstruction of new extension formed using traditional masonry elements and an aluminum standing seam section of wall and roof supported on a cranked steel frame to create de-escalation and seclusion unit.
• oReconfiguration of existing internal spaces and opening up into new extension.
• oRemoval of glass curtain walling to north elevation of the existing link corridor into Amber Ward, construction of infill blockwork wall and creation of door openings into new extension.
• oExternal works including hard landscaping, high security fencing and graphics to a newly created courtyard forming part of the unit.
• The works include a number of small Contractor Designed Portions (CDP) including steelwork connections, beam and block flooring, the parapet roof CAT ladder and final detailing of specialist electrical installations.
• Concurrent Works: It is likely that works to replace bedroom doors throughout the hospital and alterations to the office spaces adjacent reception and on the first floor are likely to be in progress on site concurrent with our works.

Length of contract is 31 weeks with site possession from the 1st March 2021.

The estimate for this project is £500,000 - £600,000.
