BBC 0515 Tender for the construction of three mausolea structures and associated works at Cheshunt cemetery

Borough of Broxbourne Council is inviting suitably experienced building contractors to pre-qualify for inclusion in a selected tender list for the construction of three mausolea structures and associated works at Cheshunt cemetery.

The project forms Phase 3 of a recently completed development to extend the burial grounds at Cheshunt cemetery that included provision of a Community Mausoleum - completed earlier this year.

The Phase 3 contract will deliver increased mausoleum burial capacity using the same bespoke design and construction concept as the existing works.

The Council therefore does not seek alternative mausoleum design proposals from potential providers.

The scope of the works is in the contract value band £400k to 600k.

Scope of Works includes:

• Construction of 3 no cast-insitu 47m² x 3m high reinforced concrete mausoleum structures with internal pre-cast floors and internal blockwork walls. Associated earthworks, foundations, drainage, brick walls and finishing works. 

-Construction of block paved forecourts and access footpaths from existing roadway and associated surface water drainage connecting to existing mains.



-Installation of water distribution system from existing main.



-Construction of permanent gravel access road.



-Soft landscaping works to amenity areas, planting beds and trees
