Stairwell Flooring - Salisbury District Hospital

SDH North is the most modern part of the site which houses most clinical services, wards, operating theatres and patient areas.

The building is on six levels, and is of a standard Dept. of Health design issued during the 1980s. It includes one PFI wing which is excluded from the scope of this tender. Due to the site being in a hill location, not all stairwells access the same number of levels.

A standard layout drawing based on Level 4 is available as part of the Specification. This project covers three stairwells – Sarum Entrance (south end of North building), Central, and Nunton (north end).

This tender comprises works to remove existing, supply and fit new flooring to Specification in the areas located.

The successful bidder will be awarded a contract based on the Standard NHS Terms & Conditions for Supply of Goods and Provision of Services.

The current floor composition underneath existing flooring is concrete in all locations.

The Project Programme will be decided with the successful bidder, however the preferred plan will be to complete one stairwell at a time, bearing in mind that outside working hours (or technical curing times, etc) all stairwells remain designated escape routes and must be usable in an emergency.

The procurement is conducted via the Ariba procurement portal. To request access, email tenders@salisbury.nhs.uk quoting the project reference and title, and giving a name, email, telephone and address for the company. Closing date for requests to be added is 15th June 2015 with a bid closing date of 22nd June 2015. Only responses completed via the Portal will be considered.

Additional information: The Procurement process is being conducted via the Trust’s Ariba procurement portal. Interested bidders should email tenders@salisbury.nhs.uk with the subject title “FE907 SDH North Stairwell Flooring” including full named contact details, with telephone, email and address, for the person responsible for preparing their response. The Trust will then register the bidder on the Ariba portal, and the bidder will automatically receive an Ariba event invite key. Please ensure email systems are set to whitelist from the ariba.com domain.

Site visits are available to suppliers but must be requested by 15th June 2015 by Ariba portal messaging. Companies wishing to be given access to the Portal must request this by 15th June 2015.
