Summary of requirements:
| a. | Produce and deliver 3 small-scale regional events (Glasgow, Sheffield, Bristol) |
| b. | Produce and deliver 1 large-scale Summit in London (during London Climate Action Week 2022) |
Event Objectives
| 1. | Showcase the UKCCIC investment portfolio of shared investment opportunities across UK cities to the investment market (particularly important objective for the regional events where concrete local city investment opportunities will be showcased to the investment community) |
| 2. | Promote the UKCCIC's financing mechanisms that can drive Net Zero, Adaptation and Green Growth in the UK context (across all events) |
| 3. | Create a political platform to position cities as delivery agents of Net Zero, as at least equal partners with Government (across all events - this will be a very important objective further down the line at COP27 as well where we will look to showcase how UK cities are indeed already behaving as delivery agents and are equal partners to national government). |
| 4. | Build trust and relationships with private investment sector from banking & financial services, energy, utilities, property development (across all events) |
| 5. | Raise awareness of the UKCCIC and its financing mechanisms with the private investment sector from banking & financial services, energy, utilities, property development (across all events) |
| 6. | Raise the profile of the UKCCIC with HMG in order to secure additional funding for the continuation of its work programme beyond June 2022 (in particular at the Summit in June). |
