description
Enabling works - to construct entrance ways into Car Parking facilities including:-1) Investigate and Survey for underground utilities and services, all works are take in to effect the results of this survey.
- Remove existing kerb line adjacent to old entrance to facilitate direct entrance to new Car Park B entrance lanes and landscape accordingly and make good with tarmac where necessary.
- Remove 8 number trees and redundant CCTV pole, from grass area between Car Park B
entrance and EMAS ambulance station. Terminate and isolate all services to CCTV mast below ground, provide access hatch in new road surface for these terminations.
- Remove kerbing and grass area where trees were growing (area approx. 18m x 10m x 8m x 12m).
- Create a two lane entry / exit road to the Nursery separated from the 2 lane entry to Car Park B. Please see the indicative drawing.
- Segregate the Car Park entrance roadway and the Nursery roadway by way of a barrier system similar to "Armco" style beams.
- Reduce levels and excavate to receive tarmac finish.
- Supply and lay membrane and MOT Type 1.
- Supply and install 2no new kerb lines, one to Nursery car park roadway adjacent to EMAS ambulance station and one to create a raised pedestrian pathway to the Nursery. (approx. 2 x 20m). c/w 2 number drop kerbs, c/w Tac tiles.
- Supply and lay tarmac to all excavated areas.
- Install new road markings, associated safety signage and relocate the Nursery directional signs.
Scope of Work: Groundworks - Vehicular / Pedestrian Segregation in line with HSE guidance to the Trust
- Supply and install pedestrian railing in 2m lengths in accordance with current standards, total length of 600 linear metres. Positions to be identified to successful contractor
