The contracting authority is seeking to appoint a supplier or suppliers who can supply Pharmacy Automation, including but not limited to; Ward Automation, Full Pack Robots, Unit Dose Robots, Secured Controlled access system, Prescription Payment Kiosks, Medication Dispensing Carts, Aseptic Compounding Software and Innovative Pharmacy technology solutions and systems. The current intention is to run this opportunity as a dynamic purchasing system (DPS), however the East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub reserves the right to review this prior to publishing the Contract Notice. While it is currently expected that this DPS will be divided into lots, the East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub reserves the right to not use lots. Further clarification on the lotting structure will be published in the Contract Notice and the tender documents. The Authority intends to apply an appropriate technical threshold and award bidders meeting this threshold to the DPS on an unranked basis.
As part of its pre-tender strategy, East of England Collaborative Procurement Hub would also like to engage with suppliers of these products via a Request for Information (RFI). If you would like to complete the Request for Information document in respect of the products which are the subject of this procurement, then please register your expression of interest. The Request for Information document will then be sent via email. Applicants will then have 4 weeks from the dispatch of this notice to complete and return the request for information document. The Authority is seeking expressions of interest and any comments on the information presented in this PIN to pharmacy@eoecph.nhs.uk by 17:00 on Monday 08.4.2019.

This procurement is at the pre-tender stage.The purpose of which is to engage suppliers to understand market capability and capacity to deliver the requirements. This notice is for information only and the Contracting Authority reserves the right to not proceed to tender, additionally the Contracting Authority reserves the right to discontinue the tendering process and not to award the contract. The information contained in this notice, including information relating to the nature and scope of the Authority's requirements, the service classification of this requirement, Lot information or the CPV code, is only indicative of current thinking and is neither exhaustive nor binding and the Authority reserves the right at its absolute discretion to amend it at the time of issue of any further notice or notices or at any other time. The publication of this notice in no way obliges the Authority to commence any competitive tender process. The Authority is not and shall not be liable for any costs incurred by those expressing an interest in participating in this opportunity. The Contracting Authority intends to use an eTendering system in this procurement exercise and reserves the right to use a reverse auction.
The resulting DPS will be for the East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub (EoECPH) members, as well as any additional new members to this organisations throughout the duration of any upcoming framework. Subject to successful application for associate membership this Framework Agreement will include, and be for the benefit of any publicly funded (both wholly and partially funded) entity in the United Kingdom, including Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and England. This will include, but is not limited to: acute, ambulance, mental health, clinical commissioning groups, health and care trusts, area teams, local authorities, social enterprises, private providers delivering an NHS Commissioned Service and Special Health Authorities, HSC in Northern Ireland, NHS Scotland and NHS Wales, including any successor or emerging organisations, which will include but is not limited to the emerging landscape of combined health and social care commissioners and providers. This will include any statutory and other successor organisations to any of the foregoing.
