COV - Eric Williams House Refurbishment

Eric Williams House is a care home for people with dementia. The building is single story and of traditional construction with a total of 43 bedrooms. 33 bedrooms are for long stay residents and 10 bedrooms are for short stay residents.

The building is split into four separate wings, each wing having its own lounge, kitchenette, bathroom, and WC and are inter connected via link corridors to a communal lounge. In addition there is a main kitchen, offices for staff, various store rooms and ancillary rooms.

The building was refurbished in 2014 and excluded any works to bedrooms and Lounge 2.

The works under this contract are the refurbishment of the existing bedrooms, toilets, bathrooms and an existing lounge. Works are to include:

• oNew wall, floor and ceiling finishes to existing bedrooms, lounge, toilets and bathrooms
• oNew Sanitaryware to toilets
• oNew Arjo Baths to bathrooms and showers to 2nr bathrooms
• oM&E alteration works including new luminaires throughout and radiator relocation works.

There are two options to be priced by Contractors:

• Option A - Refurbishment of 22nr bedrooms, toilets, bathrooms and Lounge 2.
• Option B - Refurbishment of all bedrooms, toilets, bathrooms and Lounge 2.
