Immersive Teaching Space

To further our delivery of simulation activities to the School we are looking to create a large immersive teaching space. This space will project scenes and interactive elements over 3 walls, and potentially the floor.

We currently have a small space and feedback from users is that the interactive elements are of great benefit to students. The ability to produce our own scenes, as well as support for more complex scenes is an important factor of the system.

Other feedback is that the shadow caused by projectors inhibits the interactive element, so tender submissions will need to show how this issue can be best overcome. Accuracy is an important factor, so please specify the level of accuracy available on interactive elements.

An ability to use live websites in a scene is important as this will link with our proposed electronic patient record system.

Due to the variances in software and hardware available a demo of the proposed system may be necessary. This will be arranged via InTend if required.

The size of the room is ≈7428mm on the main wall, and both side walls are ≈4618mm.

Internal walls and power to ceiling to be provided by the University Estates team based on specification supplied by supplier.
