description
Delivery of Early Words Together training to practitioners in Cornwall.
Following training, the project would continue to build up cycles of delivery and embed the programme across these 3 locality areas with project management support given in the form of regular network meetings, support visits during delivery along with email updates and guidance.
The training would be available in each locality primarily for family hub practitioners working out of the family hubs, including the SALT Nursery Nurses, with spaces available for up to 20 practitioners at each of the three training sessions who will then deliver cycles of the programme of six sessions to three and four year olds with their families. In any localities where family hub practitioner numbers are lower, it may be that practitioners from local PVIs are included to train enough staff to ensure Early Words Together delivery takes place and family reach numbers are fulfilled.
Over the course of the project, with the full funding of 90K provided, we would train a total of 60 family hub practitioners to deliver the programme to a reach of approximately 200 families.
As discussed, parents will complete a pre and post programme survey with qualitative comments and quantitative data captured. Practitioners would complete regular online progress reports, along with post training and post project surveys. A concise quarterly update could be provided, alongside short monthly updates as needed, with the full project evaluation report submitted at the end of the funding period.
