Fabrication Services for Wave Energy Converter

AMOG Consulting Ltd. is seeking fabrication services for AMOG's Wave Energy Converter (WEC).

The WEC is to be deployed in Cornwall, United Kingdom, at the FabTest offshore site for marine renewable energy devices. This project is open to all EU (including UK) suppliers and is subject to ERDF funding, reference MARINE-I 002. The WEC will consist of a rectangular hull approximately 7 x 3.3 x 3.3m, with a suspended keel located 7.5m below the hull. A topsides structure will extend 7.5m above the deck, supporting a pendulum that transits a guiderail positioned along the centreline of the vessel. Energy from the wave-induced motion of the pendulum will be captured through a power take-off system.

The overall mass of the WEC will be approximately 45 tonnes.

Fabrication will consist of seperate packages for hull, keel, topsides. The assembly package shall be issued subsequent to this round of tenders. Assembly shall occur near to test site.

Tenderers will be supplied the technical bid packages upon execution of a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Prospective tenderers shall complete the attached NDA and submit via email to tenders@amog.consulting.

The NDA is available as:

1. A .pdf, signed by AMOG, requiring only counter-signature by tenderer.
2. A .docx version, for tenderer to suggest changes for review by AMOG.

Tender submissions shall be accepted until 5pm BST Monday 15 October (extended from original submission date of 5pm BST Friday 12 October).
