Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council are seeking to appoint an experienced Employment Officer.

One Solicitor is required to start as soon as possible and work for a period of 12 weeks. The role will be based at Oldbury Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury, B69 3DE. We require one Solicitor with extensive experience of employment law within a Local Authority. We are looking for a candidate who has the following experience: Qualified Solicitor/Barrister/Fellow of CILEx of at least 5 years, extensive experience of employment law within a Local Authority, advocacy experience in Courts and Tribunals, general knowledge of Local Government law, extensive experience of providing advice to internal and external clients and the ability to undertake a varied workload. Local authority experience is essential.

Hours: 37 hours

Start date: ASAP

End date: 3 months from start date
