SCH is looking to appoint a suitable Contractor to carry out window and door replacements (supply and install), including associated works and ad-hoc repairs, to its houses, bungalows, maisonettes and low-rise flats located within the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull.
The required Works are to include, but not be limited to:
- a)Replacement of windows and doors to complete properties on a planned programme basis (programme to be agreed)
- b)Installation of fire doors (composite FD30S approved) on a planned basis
- c)Replacement of individual windows and/or doors to properties on a responsive basis (works to be completed within a set response period)
- d)Structural support/strengthening works to openings (installations of lintels, HeliBars, etc.)
- e)Alteration works to threshold access (formation of steps, ramps and associated groundworks), and any other works as required to meet DDA compliance
- f)Provision of responsive repairs to existing window and door installations (works to be completed within a set response period)
SCH anticipates that the Contract shall commence 1 April 2018 for an initial period up to 31st March 2020; subject to performance, availability of funding and continued demonstrable value for money SCH reserves the option to extend the contract period by up to a further three years.
The annual contract value is estimated to be in the region of £700,000 for the initial 12 month period of the contract and is subject to review and change for subsequent calendar years.
Tender Process:
The successful contractor is to be selected through a formal tender process.
To be eligible to participate in the tender process SCH has set the following minimum criteria; any Tenderer who fails to meet the criteria will not be considered for the award of this contract:
Economic and Financial:
- Tendering organisations must have a minimum average annual turnover of £1,400,000 based on the last 3 full accounting periods.
- Tendering organisations must provide to SCH when requested, any financial information as may be deemed necessary to demonstrate their economic and financial standing and ability to deliver and complete the Contract.
Experience:
- Tendering organisations must demonstrate recent experience of delivering a contract of this nature to a high standard. The Tenderers experience will be determined based on their response to "Question 1" contained within "Schedule 3 - Quality Submission".
Too participate in the procurement process, organisations need to express an interest in this tender and complete the enclosed set of tender documents in accordance with the instructions provided.
The closing date for the submission of completed tender documents is no later than 12.00 noon on Wednesday 30 August 2017.
