description

In the UK there are an estimated 101,200 people living with HIV of whom an estimated 13,500 (13%) are unaware of their infection. In response to the levels of undiagnosed infection and the high numbers of people presenting for treatment and care at later stages, it is in the interest of general public health to expand HIV testing beyond traditional clinical settings.

In light of the pressing need to improve access to testing, Public Health England (PHE) is seeking a service provider who can procure, manage and run a national framework agreement, for HIV self-sampling testing services, on its behalf.

The initial period of contract will be for 2 years with two options to extend by a further year each.
