description

The British Library is currently running a market consultation exercise inviting potential vendors to provide information and propose options and business solutions for the provision of Business Process Modelling, Workflow and Orchestration products.

One thing every enterprise performs irrespective of size, revenue, and people are business processes. Business processes are essential to the successful and efficient running of an organisation.

They all require to some degree level one or more business processes to be understood and to be executed according to the prescribed process (informal or formal). As organisations become more aware that managing their business processes effectively is an enabler to the delivery of better customer services, operational efficiencies and support for their employees, the market has responded in three significant ways:

  • By proposing standards for the documenting of business processes
  • By starting to deliver solutions that are able to orchestrate the delivery of business processes, both commercial and open source
  • By the growth of consultancies offering specialised business process management services

The British Library has a broad mix of business processes that represent all the maturity levels above and is seeking innovative and inventive solutions.

If you are interested in participating in this RFI exercise please go to the British Library’s e-tendering portal at https://bl.bravosolution.co.uk, click on ‘Opportunity Listings’ and follow the on screen instructions in regards to registration and downloading the RFI documents.
