Employers Agent and Quantity Surveyor for Princes Street Car Park

Ipswich Borough Council is seeking to procure Employers Agent and Quantity Surveyor services for a proposed new build Multi Storey Car Park.

The project will deliver additional car parking spaces through a Design and Build contract value of approximately £6m including all site infrastructures on an existing surface car park.

The car park will be a pay and display site aimed at business long stay users.

An outline planning application is due to be submitted in Spring 2018.

Tenders for the Main Building Contract are due to be sent out in Summer 2018 and an appointment made in October 2018 (or earlier).

The construction work is anticipated to commence in early 2019 and be completed in Autumn 2019.

IBC does not have the in house expertise to carry out the Agent duties and is therefore requesting suitably experienced and qualified Quantity Surveyors to propose a fee to carry out these duties. The Council envisages that the consultant will act as the Council's Construction Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor and Employers agent working closely with the Council's own Project Manager to direct the process and the deliverables, undertaking all duties on the client's behalf.
