Reducing Parental Conflict Grant

The mediation service has been delivering a service since 2015. In 2017 GIPSIL received funding from Children in Need for the service. This funding ended on August 31st, 2023. Whilst other funding options have been considered and identified no further funding was secured to continue the Mediation service at this time. As this is such an important project GIPSIL agreed to use some of its reserves to maintain the service for 5 months (November 2023 to March 2024) whilst they explored further funding/ investment. Subsequently, approval from the Head of Service for Children's Social Work to divert some of the Reducing Parental Conflict Local Grant to GIPSIL was received. The Reducing Parental Conflict Local Grant (RPC LG) is made available by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) for the three financial years (1 April to 31 March) 2022/23 (Year 1), 2023/24 (Year 2), and 2024/25 (Year 3) (each of Year 1, Year 2 and Year 3 is a Year).
