St Pancras & Islington Cemetery Works

The London Borough of Camden (LB CAMDEN) is currently seeking to award a contract for the provision of works to St Pancras & Islington Cemetery. Works include the following.

St Pancras Chapel

Provide a wind and watertight structure for subsequent use of ceremonies within the St Pancras Chapel to St Pancras & Islington Cemetery. The works are to include stripping and reroofing and insulating the main roof, providing new flashings, removing the cement pointing and replacing this with lime mortar, removing the existing porch, removing and reconfiguring the male and female wc’s and replacing dressed stone where appropriate.

Gravediggers Mess

Remodel the interior to consider male and female operatives, and rationalise the layout to improve the cleanliness and hygiene of the building for the use of the staff.

Coppetts Road Toilets

Refurbish and enhance the thermal environment of the male, female and disabled toilets.

Exit Road Workshops

Refurbish the Exit Road workshop to provide a wind and watertight structure.

201. & 203 Coppetts Road

Remove and improve the socket outlet distribution and lighting to the bath and kitchen. Enhance the privacy of the properties and reduce the solar gain by installing shutters and blinds. Enhance the life span of the roof finishes by applying solar reflective paint. Replace defective double glazed units where seals have failed and improve the thermal environment to the master bed and child’s bed by providing internal insulation, thus eliminating condensation on the walls.
