The All Age Specialist Eating Disorder service will be provided across the Kent and Medway region.

This service will provide lifespan (all age) evidence based early intervention and specialist treatment to service users with suspected or diagnosed eating disorders in Kent and Medway. The service will provide a recovery based approach, providing specialist interventions and supporting individuals to achieve and maintain good health and enable them to return to their full potential in their lives and in the community.

To note the following CCGs are the Commissioners for this project and will be parties to a contract as either a Lead or Associate Commissioner :

NHS Ashford CCG ; NHS Canterbury and Coastal CCG; NHS Dartford Gravesham and Swanley CCG ; NHS Medway CCG ; NHS South Kent Coast CCG ; NHS Swale CCG ; NHS Thanet CCG ; NHS West Kent CCG.

To note that only one Lot, for the entire geographical region covered by the CCGs named above, will be awarded. The successful provider will be required to sign 2 contracts, one with a Lead Commissioner representing East Kent, and one with a Lead commissioner representing West Kent.

All interested parties should note that this Service Procurement falls within the scope of the “Light Touch Regime” as defined in the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (as amended) and Directive 2014/24/EU. Therefore the 2015 Regulations and the 2014 Directive are only applicable to the Service Procurement to the extent required for the Services. The Commissioners have decided to follow a tendering procedure for the Service Procurement which is akin to the Open procedure, as provided for under the 2015 regulations and the 2014 Directive, and throughout this ITT and associated documentation, the terminology linked to an Open Procedure is used. This should not however be taken as an acceptance by The Commissioners that any part of the 2015 Regulations or the 2014 Directive (other than those provisions specifically applicable to the Light Touch Regime Procurement) apply to this Service Procurement.

Additional information: The attachments to this Notice will give potential bidders sufficient information to decide whether they wish to access the full tender documentation.

The tender will be conducted via the NHS Commercial Solutions Bravo e tendering system. Bidders wishing to Express an Interest (EOI) in participating will be required to register on the Bravo system if they have not previously done so. This can be done at any time via this web link:
