Updating Estimates of Business Resource Efficiency Opportunities

The project will update the estimates of resource efficiency opportunities for UK business. These were published in 2007, revised in 2011 (link: further benefits of business resource efficiency ) and are now in urgent need of updating again.

The updated estimates will relate to the 'quick wins' for business in resource efficiency - the previous report estimated these at £23bn in terms of efficiency gains that business could in theory quite easily achieve and quickly (< 1 yr). The '£23bn' is a headline figure that is quite often quoted and it will be helpful to see whether the £23bn has changed since 2011 with indications of by how much.
