SH19013 South Brent Community Housing Project

South Hams District Council (SHDC) and West Devon Borough Council (WDBC) have commenced a programme of 59 units in SHDC and 29 Units in WDBC in 2019/2020 to meet the need of affordable community housing in South Devon. This is the second scheme within this programme with the wider pipeline aiming to produce 50 units year. The houses embrace innovative and sustainable build design with the aim to provide houses which are energy efficient to ensure low running costs are achieved for the inhabitants. This ITT relates to the procurement of a Main Contractor for a single rural housing project located in South Brent however the scheme will be delivered using two concurrent standalone contracts, one with SHDC and the other with South Brent Community Land Trust (SBCLT) who will be providing elements of 'sweat equity'.
