description
The Five Year Forward View for Mental Health includes commitments to expand Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) services to meet 25% of need by 2020/21. Most of the expansion will be in ‘Integrated IAPT’ services, co-located in and integrated with physical health services, and focused on people with anxiety/depression in the context of long-term physical health conditions (LTC) and/or people with distressing and persistent medically unexplained symptoms. The new services are due to start in January 2017.
To understand how Integrated IAPT services were implemented and their effects, NHS England is seeking to commission a work package to support the analysis of the impact of ’Integrated IAPT’ services. Consortia or bids from individual organisations are welcome.
