Planning Policy Consultant

Tunbridge Wells Borough Council ["TWBC"] is in the process of producing a new Local Plan and will be considering how it should take forward any changes which emerge from legislation following the Government's proposed changes in the autumn 2020 White Paper "Planning for the Future".

Substantial work has been undertaken on the Local Plan: Regulation 19 consultation on a Pre-Submission Local Plan has taken place from 25th March to 4th June 2021.

TWBC is inviting tenders from suitably experienced and qualified consultants/consultancies to (in summary) provide advice and assistance in the submission of the PSLP, responses to matters and questions raised by the Inspector head of examination, prepare for and potentially appear at Examination of the PSLP, and to advise and undertake work on other related matters. To additionally provide advice and to undertake specific pieces of work related to potential changes to the national planning system.

Tender release: Thursday 17th June 2021

Expression of Interest Deadline: 12:00pm Thursday 8th July 2021 Deadline for submission of completed tenders: 12:00pm Thursday 15th July 2021

Evaluation: w/c 19th July 2021

Appointment of contractor: by Friday 23rd July 2021
