Major & Minor Roads Resurfacing, Swindon 2024

SBC invites expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of resurfacing and structural patching of sections of roads in Swindon which have been identified as in need of essential maintenance as detailed in the specification and drawings (including the provision of all necessary traffic management to complete the works).

Two packages of works are proposed to be delivered within one contract package given the similarity in discipline, specification and the required delivery period. The works (and associated pre-works) for the combined package will include:

⬢ Carriageway patching / resurfacing

⬢ Replacement of existing kerbing and ironwork where necessary

⬢ Replacement of road markings and high friction surfacing where necessary

⬢ Provision of traffic management proposals and on site (including necessary associated advance signage and diversions) to accommodate the works outlined within the tender documentation as per agreements with SBC Streetworks.

The initial contract term will be for 14 weeks as stated in the ITT documents.

To participate, Suppliers will need to Register as a Supplier with ProContract, www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk, then Register an Interest before obtaining access to the tender documents. Tender clarifications to be submitted in writing via Messaging in ProContract by Wednesday 21st February 2024, 1200 hrs noon UK Local time.

The Council's responses to these clarification questions will be issued on the ProContract tender portal. Therefore it is the Contractor's responsibility to check the site regularly for updates to clarifications.
