The contractor is to undertake the following works to the Charles Darwin Building on the Frenchay Campus for the HAS Faculty.
- Take down and dispose of all existing suspended ceilings and replace with new as per Atkins’ design and in line with UWE standards
- Take down and dispose of all existing ceiling mounted lighting and replace with new energy efficient LED lighting as per Atkins’ design and in line with UWE standards
- Isolate, disconnect and remove all existing glass drainage and replace with Vulcathene drainage system in line with Atkins’ design.
- Isolate, disconnect and remove existing cold water distribution systems, both CAT5 and domestic and replace with new in line with Atkins’ design.
- Isolate, disconnect and remove existing hot water distribution systems, both CAT5 and domestic and replace with new in line with Atkins’ design
- Isolate, disconnect and remove existing gas system and replace with new in line with Atkins’ design, including 5 new gas proving systems.
- Isolate, discounted and dispose of c. 20 no. fume cupboards and supply and install new.
- Remove existing AV cables and replace with new.
