description
Red Kite Community Housing wishes to
| a) | move to a more effective method of managing our data (HR System) |
| b) | adopt an online training facility in order to enhance the Learning and Development of staff and volunteers and give them immediate access to training materials |
HR System
Red Kite wishes to move to a more effective method or managing our HR data. We want to implement a solution that not only provides the necessary tools for our HR team, but provides an element of self service for our staff. With a move to several of our staff being mobile workers it is important that the solution we implement is compatible with multiple devices.
At present, our main method of managing our data is through the use of a number of excel spreadsheets, requiring a significant level of manual input.
We want Managers to have access to a dashboard of information that will provide a tool to help them manage leave, sickness, learning and development and expenses. All staff are to have access to key information about these records.
We are looking to establish a relationship with a service provider who can help us to improve our HR data management system.
Online Learning Tool
The requirement is to save on current training costs, increase throughput of training and expand on the current subjects and training options available. Red Kite currently provides some ad hoc training with the majority of training being face to face (see Table 1). We want to move a large part of our training to be online based so relevant courses are available to all staff members. This method will allow staff to access an online training portal via a login at their own convenience, so their day to day training and personal development needs can be met. It also means staff have a wider variety of courses to choose from.
Having an online training portal will also improve the staff induction process by allowing new joiners to complete necessary training, for example, health and safety training, online before starting.
We are looking to achieve two things – one of which being essential as part of this procurement:
| 1. | An online training platform with the ability to add content (essential) |
| 2. | Core training material (desirable). |
We are looking to establish a relationship with a supplier who can help us to deliver online courses which satisfy Red Kite’s training requirements.
Red Kite requires a contract for up to 150 licenses for staff and volunteers with the ability to reassign log ins as staff and volunteers leave and join, to allow each individual staff member to access their own online training portal with access to a variety of courses.
We would also want to issue licences ahead of new employees starting work for us as part of our on-boarding process.
