This project will require consultancy services to:

Review existing data on wastes from compost-based bioreactor media and sediments
Advise on likely waste classification (i.e. hazardous or non-hazardous) based on UK legislation and Environment Agency guidance
Recommend and carry out additional testing to determine if the materials could be classified as non-hazardous wastes
Identify costed disposal options for these wastes, including potential pre-treatment and locations (transport to be separately priced)
Assess potential for recovery of metals and/or decrease in volume of waste produced
