FOREWORD
WM Housing Group has a long track-record of delivering high quality newbuild affordable housing projects. Since 2012 we have added open market sale to our development portfolio through West Mercia Development Ltd (WMDL - trading as Signature New Homes) and are actively growing this side of our business, resulting in the total delivery of circa 500 homes a year.
We have operated with a partnering ethos on our newbuild development schemes for nearly two decades. In addition to the contract amendments, we have carried out a comprehensive review of our Design Brief in light of the changes to HCA standards and Building Regulations. Our new Design Standards and Elemental Specification offers a more project-specific brief so that designers and contractors can be clearer about what we require on an individual project. By being clearer about what we require, we believe this will aid contractors in their design responsibilities under the JCT c...
