Kettlethorpe High School - Boiler Replacement Programme

A Contractor is required to renew the ageing coal boiler and install with a new gas fired boiler plant. Works include the removal of the existing heating system equipment from the plant room and coal bunker at the school and the demolition of the associated chimneys and associated activity:

• To raise the constructed retaining wall to hold back embankment by gas meter and build concrete plinth to support Boilers
• Installation of new louvre and louvre doors
• Installation of nine new modular gas fired boilers to replace the existing three coal-fired boiler
• Installation of new 16M Gas meter and housing and associated pipework
• Installation of pumps, pipework and ancillary equipment in the plant room to connect to the existing LTHW distribution pipework serving the two parts of the school (Zones identified as 'Tech Block' and 'Primary') and existing Domestic hot water system
• Modification to the existing electrical distribution in the plantroom to serve new LTHW system arrangement.
