Brief description

Are you an expert in leading and managing complex and strategic local procurement projects to ensure effective delivery in line with legislation and timescales. Then we want to hear from you.

Based in the finance directorate of Sandwell Council, we are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic procurement and contracting professional to join our Independent Sector Management Team to support procurement and contract activity for Adult Social Care and Public Health.

Working closely with commissioners, the Independent Sector Management Team manages all of the Adult Social Care and Public Health contracting and procurement activity contributing to the successful delivery of great care and health services to the local community.

Be qualified to degree level or hold a recognised relevant qualification in contracting and or Commissioning at diploma level eg Chartered Institute Procurement & Supply qualification

You must have

  • oAt least 2 years experience of undertaking procurement and commissioning activities.
  • oAt least two years experience of using standing orders and financial regulations within a statutory organisation.
  • oAt least two years experience of contract management.

Please can the agencies send over a CV, 2x up to date references and a copy of Terms and Conditions. You will also need to include your agency on cost details to each submission. Stated rates must be inclusive of all known costs.

No DBS is required for this role.
