'The University of Manchester wishes to appoint a company/companies to deliver Architecture Lead Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy services for the Jodrell Bank - FIrst Light project.

The First Light project is a Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) supported initiative that aims to conserve and restore the heritage at the Jodrell Bank site and create a spectacular new visitor space to display the history of Radio Astronomy.

The project has been successful during the Round 1 HLF process and has currently being awarded funding to undertake the project ‘Development Phase’ and prepare a HLF Round

  1. bid submission, which aligns with the end of RIBA Stage 3 – Developed Design.

The First Light project is an HLF-supported initiative that aims to conserve and restore the heritage at the Jodrell Bank site and create a spectacular new visitor space to display the history of Radio Astronomy. This project will be part of a wider investment and development at Jodrell Bank, part of the Jodrell Bank Centre for Astrophysics at the University of Manchester.'
