18-15 Managed Nursery Services (Childcare)

The University runs a nursery provision for children of nine months through to five years, 'Little Scholars Nursery'. The nursery is currently situated in the ground floor of Randall Lines Halls of Residence, Molineux Street, Wolverhampton. It offers good quality childcare to University staff, students and members of the local community, enabling parents to pursue higher education and employment.

In order to maximise the benefits of the nursery, we are reviewing the option of outsourcing the provision to a contractor as a managed service. Management of the Facility, personnel, risk, maintenance of equipment and general operations will be the responsibility of the Contractor, regular discussions will be held with University authorised representatives.

The term of the Contract shall be for a period of five years (5) years commencing 1st December 2018 with an optional extension of up to an additional 24 months. Any TuPE considerations must have been fulfilled prior to contract commence date.
