description
Introduction to the Trust At Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust we are driven by our ethos of working together to provide outstanding healthcare to our community. Working closely with our partner organisations, our 6,500 staff and volunteers care for a population of around 750,000 from a wide range of social and ethnic groups. We have two main hospitals. Queen's Hospital in Romford opened in 2006 and brought together the services previously run at Oldchurch and Harold Wood hospitals. It complements King George Hospital in Goodmayes which was built in 1993. We also serve clinics across outer north east London and run some services from Barking Hospital. We operate two Emergency Departments, one at each of our hospitals, and offer a full range of local hospital services. In addition, we are proud to boast a regional neuroscience centre, renowned as a centre of excellence; a cancer centre; and a Hyper Acute Stroke Unit at Queen's to provide specialist care. We are committed to working closely with our partners in the community to place patients' needs at the centre of our care, and our PRIDE values of Passion; Responsibility; Innovation; Drive and Empowerment inspire us and keep our patients at the heart of everything we do. We are extremely proud that we recently secured a place on a ground-breaking scheme to transform the care we provide for patients - the Virginia Mason Institute Development Programme. We are one of only five Trusts in the country to take part. We are also one of eight new, national, vanguard sites which will help spearhead transformational change in urgent care across the country. The Requirement The Trust is going to tender for the delivery of learning and development opportunities for senior clinical, operational and professional leaders at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust within a 12-18 month modular programme commencing Spring 2016 (Further details can be found in the attached documents).
