description
In 2017, the Hampshire 7 CCGs will tender the contract for delivery of NHS 111 services. The key elements of the service to be procured will include but not be limited by:
| 1. | A single point of access for the unscheduled care system serving the population of Southampton City, Hampshire and Portsmouth City geographies, thereby improving the public experience of accessing urgent healthcare; |
| 2. | Reducing health inequalities by improving access, supporting patients to make the best use of services and self-care support and minimising inappropriate use of service provided in higher cost settings; |
| 3. | Facilitating the availability of management information from the system to ensure efficient service delivery and, where appropriate, to inform the decommissioning of services that are not required; |
| 4. | Creating a simpler unscheduled care system that is more efficient with patients receiving care from the right person, at the right time, in the right place; |
| 5. | Creating an Urgent Care system that can manage demand dynamically and incorporate an integrated telephony hub with greater scope for clinical assessment and advice; particularly in the Out of Hours period. |
| 6. | Provide infrastructure to support a primary medical service home visiting service including cars and drivers. |
A Market Warming Event (MWE) is being scheduled for the re-procurement of the NHS 111 Service on Thursday 1 December 2016 at Fort Southwick, Portsmouth. The contracting authorities wish to engage the market in order to enter a dialogue on how the NHS service specification will be finalised, enhancing national minimum requirements with local needs and emergent urgent and unscheduled care strategies.
To register for the MWE, log on to the eTendering Portal “In-tend” and complete the Request for Information Form (RFI). Interested parties have an opportunity to provide feedback in the questions included on the RFI. Commercially sensitive information provided will be treated in confidence, although, topics raised in the RFI that are not commercially sensitive, may be used to inform the MWE agenda.
