The CCG wishes to commission an interim service to enable patients who have been rejected for Tier 4 treatment because they have not undergone Tier 3 (or equivalent services) within the last 6-12 months, to be prioritised and offered a course of treatment on a specialised weight management programme. There may also be additional more recent referrals suitable for Tier 3.
The forecast of patient numbers are approximately 50-100 patients suitable for the Tier 3 interim services.
A fully integrated obesity pathway is to be commissioned for the longer term to replace this interim service later in 2016.

Additional information: The CCG is following an Open Procedure procurement process to secure this service.
The contract will be for duration of 12 months with an option to extend for a further 12 months in 3-month extension periods.
The contract value is estimated at between £70k and £90k per annum. Payment will be in 1/12th instalments
The Invitation to Tender will be available to all bidders who have expressed an interest by the above deadline via the Pro-Contract e-procurement system www.supplying2nhs.com. Please refer to the attached MOI for further details.

Suppliers should login and complete the tender response documentation electronically and submit them via the Pro-contract e-tendering portal. The deadline for tender submission is 1200hrs on 18th June 2015.
Tenders received after the deadline may not be considered. It is anticipated that successful bidders will be invited to attend an interview/ presentation on 14th July 2015.
