description

This contract is for the provision of on-site confidential waste (destruction and recycling) services at various LCC sites across Lancashire, using a specialist wagon. The services include providing secure containers for the confidential waste, and bulk shred jobs. The consoles are charged per empty, whilst bulk shreds are charged per weight.

The arrangement begins on 1 June 2015 for an initial period of three years until 31 May 2018. There may be an extension period of up to one further year subject to the agreement of both parties and contractual performance provided that the total duration of the contract does not exceed four years.

Lancashire County Council intends to promote and share good practice with other UK Public Sector Bodies including but not limited to the following;

As such, where the successful tenderer’s capacity and capability permits, LCC will expect the successful tenderer, when approached, to be willing to contract with other UK Public Sector Bodies for the products tendered for herein, on the terms and conditions detailed herein, at the prices agreed as a result of this tender.

Any such contract entered into between the successful tenderer and another UK Public Sector Body will be wholly independent of the both the contract and relationship between the successful tenderer and the Purchaser (LCC), and will be entered into by the successful tenderer without any reliance on any representations made by LCC.

For the avoidance of doubt, where contracts are entered into with any third party other than LCC, LCC accepts no liability for the act or omissions of that third party with the exception of personal injury, death or fraud where such is either directly or indirectly caused as a result of LCC’s act or omission.
