description
Lincolnshire County Council would like to gather the opinions of young people to better understand what their ambitions are in terms of working and living in Lincolnshire in adulthood. What are the opportunities in the low-carbon economy and how can Lincolnshire County Council support their aspirations? What can young people tell us about future job and infrastructure needs and how can we start to incorporate this into council planning?
There is much potential for Lincolnshire in a low-carbon economy, in sectors from agriculture, biotech, renewable energy and the visitor economy. Many of the jobs of the future are still unknown, but an adaptable workforce and supporting infrastructure are key to being able to meet economic needs and growth opportunities. This is where the voices of young people are particularly important to help provide some intelligence to Lincolnshire County Council on the support that is needed for the next working generation to thrive in the county.
We are looking to engage creative providers that can help to understand the needs of young people, and that can also articulate their responses in a way that garners wider engagement from the Lincolnshire population and starts to raise the profile of future low-carbon economy needs in the county.
