SO16583 - Provision of the Supply, Installation & Maintenance of CCTV System

Border Force is a law enforcement command within the Home Office. They secure the UK border by carrying out immigration and customs controls for people and goods entering the UK. In addition, the CCTV system is to provide general surveillance of the domestic corridor and baggage collection areas.

Border Force has an aged (obsolete) CCTV system, the new system is to provide general surveillance of the approach corridor to passport control, the desks, along with identification of people entering the international baggage collection area from passport control and thereafter overview images of their movements as they leave the area.

The requirement is to replace the existing obsolete system with an up to date solution incorporating fewer cameras positioned at several key locations.

The new requirement is to utilise the latest surveillance technology whilst making use of the legacy cabling associated with the old system. The new system used for incident investigation purposes opposed to continuous live monitoring by an operator.

To avoid unnecessary charges associated with their removal, any existing cameras and control equipment that will not form part of the new resolution will remain in situ.

Please note that, to register, you must have a valid DUNS number (as provided by Dun and Bradstreet) for the organisation which you are registering, who will be entering into a contract if invited to do so at the Invitation to Tender stage.

Once you have registered on the e-Sourcing Suite, you will need to express an interest for SO16583 - Provision of the Supply, Installation & Maintenance of CCTV System.

This is done by emailing:

Your email must clearly state:

the email.

Crown Commercial Service will then process this email and assign your organisation to the opportunity. The registered user will receive a notification email to alert them once this has been done.

The Invitation to Tender will be issued by close of play on 3rd March 2016 and therefore suppliers can register on the e-Sourcing Suite between the issue date of this Contracts Finder advert and the deadline for submission of a Tender which is 12:00 Noon on Monday 14th March 2016.

PLEASE NOTE IF SUPPLIERS REQUIRE A SITE VISIT, THEY WILL NEED TO NOTIFY CCS BY 12:00 NOON ON WEDNESDAY 9TH MARCH 2016, IF THEY WISH TO ATTEND.

THE SITE VISIT DATE WILL THEN BE ARRANGED BY CCS FOR BOTH PARTIES.

It is advised however that Potential Providers register as soon as practically possible in order to receive the Invitation to Tender and have a sufficient amount of time to respond.
