UK SBS IT17052 NMRO IT Support

NMRO was previously an Executive Agency, but was brought into Regulatory Delivery of BEIS in April 2016. There was a formal support contract in place, but this has been a rolling contract arrangement on a month by month basis since Summer 2016. With NMRO becoming part of RD, some operational activity has been transferred to the BEIS Evolve platform, so the month by month arrangement reflected this as some levels of support reduced or were no longer needed.

The new arrangement will be to provide core support and maintenance for Teddington, with a user base of approximately 50 staff, but this is expected to increase by 2020 to 80+ staff. The organisation therefore require a scalable longer term solution that can grow as the operation does and provide flexibility to utilise new services as the business develops and expands.

Specific objectives are to provide Teddington with a formal commercial arrangement for the support and maintenance of their current IT network and associated infrastructure, plus maintain software and data resident on the network. To provide this service it is expected that the supplier will need to provide a mixture of onsite and remote support and be accessible to Teddington staff when needed.
