The Authority is seeking to establish a single contract for the various replacement, refurbishment, repair and associated remedial works in connection with passive fire safety with a Contractor experienced in delivering works of a similar nature, capable of meeting the requirements of the specification (encompassing both the supply of all materials and labour) and with the capacity to deliver works across all geographical areas of Bromford's operation, including availability of sufficient resources to meet the requirements of both planned works as well as reactive works / surges in demand.

This contract will enable continuity of the relevant improvement works and mitigation of the fire risk to the customers, visitors, Bromford staff and other persons engaged at or in the vicinity of Bromford's properties. The contract will also facilitate compliance to the relevant current legislation and fire regulations.

The scope of works will broadly include:

-replacement, repair and refurbishment of fire doors, frames and associated works;
-partial refurbishment of intrinsic passive fire safety measures;
-fire resistant glazing;
-works related to compartmentation, ironmongery and other sundries;
-various works relating to signage;
-fire stopping works;
-installation of fire collars and smoke/heat detection systems and other electrical works; and
-any other repair (including remedial) works to maintain the integrity of passive fire protection.

all in accordance with the Contract Specification, all other Contract Documents and all applicable standards, regulations, Statutory Requirements and manufacturers' guidelines / instructions.

The successful Contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labour, materials, plant, tools and liaison with the relevant Customers (where applicable) for the purpose of arranging access in order to carry out works.

The Contractor will not provide the fire risk assessments as these are being completed in-house.
