The Contract requires the appointed contractor to provide a high quality and effective package of small repairs, odd jobs and minor adaptations to the homes of vulnerable people who live within the London Borough of Redbridge. To provide one point of contact (for client or client's agents), and a consistent, effective and efficient Service across the Authority, which is good value for money. The objectives when providing the Service are: · contribute to the 'Decent Homes Standard' target by reducing housing -related health and safety hazards. This is found in the Housing Health & Safety Rating System (HHSRS) · promote independence and improve quality of life for people who need support in order to live safely in their own home · work in partnership to provide cost effective, timely, high quality and relevant services · increase awareness in Redbridge residents of potential hazards in their home · act as a preventative service, which reduces the risk of accidents and injuries in the home and to liaise with the current provider of Falls services in Redbridge, Age UK Redbridge or any Redbridge Council appointed Falls services provider in relation to any falls incidents and repairs · assist where appropriate with support to facilitate hospital discharge and to liaise with the current provider of Escorted Hospital Discharge service in Redbridge - Age UK Redbridge or any Redbridge Council appointed Escorted Hospital Discharge service provider - in relation to this service · reduce the number of unnecessary admissions to residential care or to hospital to act as a Redbridge First Response Partner (ReFRS) to make referrals to ReFRS for all potential unmet needs
