Peterborough City Council's ('The Council') People and Communities Directorate anticipates undertaking a procurement exercise for the provision of a new Generalist Information, Advice and Guidance contract.
The purpose of the proposed procurement exercise will be to appoint a provider who can deliver a range of high quality services focusing on tailored information, advice and support to enable clients in Peterborough to better manage the money, deal with crises situations and prevent them from reoccurring.
The service will include (but not exhaustive):
- Provide clients with access to a range of resources at times of financial crisis.
- Refer/signpost clients to Peterborough City Council early help services and specialist advice agencies to prevent escalation of longer term issues before the individual or family reaches crisis.
- Provide accessible and timely information, advice and guidance (IAG) relating to welfare benefit entitlements including Universal Credit
- Provide access to accessible and high quality Financial Inclusion services
- Support clients to move out of poverty/financial crisis
