description
The service aims to:
| • | Provide an accessible, flexible and responsive mental health service to young people aged 14 -21 years in Tower Hamlets with emerging mental health problems |
| • | Promote a single ethos centred on young people, working flexibly with them, their families and with partner organisations in the borough |
| • | Improve mental health outcomes |
| • | Maximise opportunities for service delivery in partnership with existing young people’s services and mental health services in the borough. |
It must have three strands targeted at early interventions for those with mild to moderate mental health difficulties and those who will not attend specialist CAMHS.
| a) | Additional youth mental wellbeing support, targeted at those with mild or emerging difficulties in youth services and projects |
| b) | Evidence-based individual and group interventions for those with moderate mental health problems |
| c) | Partnership with statutory and voluntary mental health providers for those with moderate to more complex difficulties, who are unlikely to engage with statutory services. |
The service will operate mainly outside the school day, i.e. evenings and weekends. It should work through a partnership delivery model with existing local organisations, and is intended to move to an outcomes-based contract over the contract period.
