PROVISION OF REGULATORY SUPPORT IN STATISTICAL MODELLING OF IRRADIATED GRAPHITE BRICK CRACKING AND WEIGHT LOSS IN AGR CORES

ONR has a strategic aim to maintain a pool of expertise on nuclear graphite technology that is independent of the major nuclear licensees and provides support to enable it to mount a constructive challenge of the licensee’s safety cases by performing independent analyses. The current contract for support is due to expire in mid-2015 and ONR is seeking to put in place a new four year contract, with one or more suppliers, to continue service provision.
