The Council is responsible for carrying out alterations and adaptations to council owned properties in line with recommendations from NYCC Health and Adult Services. The work comprises replacing existing unsuitable bathing facilities with facilities recommended by Occupational Therapists. This usually consists of removing the existing Bathroom suite and forming a Wet Room. Occasionally it may be necessary to install shower cubicles, or even remove a shower and fit a bath. This includes pre-start surveys, associated trades works including, electrics, joinery, plumbing, plastering, tiling, flooring and decoration works. Contractors will be required to submit the following form information purposes: A Method statement Risk assessments Training records for employees Note: Any contractor who does not have direct experience of this work in social housing will not be considered.
