GB-Luton: Imaging Patient Flow Works (2019)- Expression of Interest

We are seeking expressions of interest from contractors to undertake a complex programme of extensive corridor refurbishment in the Imaging Department. Works will be taking place in a live clinical environment, we are therefore seeking contractors who have extensive and qualified experience in this kind of work.

Outline scope of work includes creation of:

• New patient changing facilities
• New recovery area post X-Ray
• New inpatient waiting area
• Construction of a 5th Ultrasound Room
• Facilitation of M&E for future installation of digital X-Ray in 3 rooms and 1 room for Cone Beam CT
• A new staff rest area
• New expanded admin office
• Nurse Base

A final overall plan is attached along with proposed phasing plan and initial M&E brief.

We are seeking to run a full tender period, providing more advanced Architectural and M&E designs, from the middle of August for four weeks. Contractors who have expressed interest, and provided suitable evidence of experience, will be invited to tender Works are expected to start in October with programme completing in December.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
